We invite you to join us in the Pastoral Installation Celebration for Rev. Dr. Lewis J. Dixon, the Pastor-Elect of Second Baptist Church, Paulsboro. Our weekend long celebration begins on Friday, September 22, 2023, with our first Pre-Installation Service. On Saturday, September 23rd, we will have our Pre-Installation Luncheon, and on Sunday, September 24th, we will have a Pre-Installation Service at 11:00 am and our Installation Service will begin at 4:00 PM!

REV. DR. DONALD D. MOORE
Rev. Dr. Donald Moore serves as the Pastor of the historic Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Dr. Moore previously served as an Associate Minister at Kaighn Avenue Baptist Church, the oldest Black Baptist Church in the state of New Jersey. Dr. Moore is licensed as a Minister of the Gospel and ordained by the American Baptist Churches, USA of New Jersey. Dr. Moore holds a BA in Speech Communication from Fayetteville State University, a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from North Carolina Central University, a Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University in Delaware. Dr. Moore has also worked as an adjunct Graduate Professor in Adult Neurological Language, Motor Speech, Voice, and Swallowing Disorders; he currently serves as Chaplain for the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Philadelphia/Pittsburgh region, serves on the steering committee of First Star Academy, and has served on the City Council’s Economic Development Committee for the Borough of Clayton, NJ.

Rev. Dr. Clarence E. Wright
Rev. Dr. Clarence E. Wright serves as the Senior Pastor of Love Zion Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in religion and urban studies from Temple University, and master’s
degrees in Missional Theology (MA) and Divinity (MDiv) from Biblical Theological Seminary (now Missio Seminary). He earned his Doctor of Ministry in Transformative Leadership and Prophetic Preaching at the historic Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. His book, The Sunday After: Preaching in Moments and Movements (Judson Press, 2023) exemplifies his research in relevant 21st Century Ministry. After completing his doctoral studies, he returned to his alma mater Missio Seminary as a resident faculty member, and in 2023 was unanimously voted by the Missio Board to be the 5th President (the first Black President in school’s 50+ year history).
Outside of the pulpit he is a published poet, an accomplished gospel organist and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. His life has been devoted to public service including community economic
development, homeless advocacy, anti-violence initiatives, and international missions on 5 continents.

Rev. Dr. marco d. mcneil
Rev. Dr. Marco D. McNeil is the Senior Pastor of Early Grove Baptist Church of Memphis, TN. He has studied at Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary (formally New Life Theological Seminary) in Charlotte, NC. He is a Master of Divinity graduate of the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Dr. McNeil is 2021 Doctoral Graduate of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York. His Doctoral Thesis title was: Reimagining the Paradigm: A Trilateral Approach for Integrating Generations Y and Z into Intergenerational Ministry.
Dr. McNeil served as Regional Chaplain of the Ohio Valley Region of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. In 2015 he was accepted as a Clinical Pastoral Intern for the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina in which he completed in May 2016. In 2017, he was selected as one of the Emerging Preachers by the Cleveland Baptist Association/ American Baptist Churches. Dr. McNeil has served as the Executive Director of Zachariah Alexander Community Development Corporation. He also served on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend Steering Committee for the City of Charlotte.

Rev. Dr. Marvin A. McMickle
Rev. Marvin A. McMickle is a graduate of Aurora University. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City and completed two additional years of graduate study at Columbia University . He earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from his Alma Mater, Aurora University, and was also awarded an
honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio.
Dr. McMickle served as the 12th President of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2019. Prior to joining CRCDS, he was pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio from 1987 to 2011 and a member of the Board of Trustees of Cleveland State University. Dr. McMickle was also the Professor of Homiletics at Ashland Theological Seminary in
Ashland, Ohio, from 1996 to 2011, where he was named Professor Emeritus. He is the author of 15 books and dozens of articles that regularly appear in professional journals and magazines. He is a member of the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Board of Preachers at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and has also served as a Visiting Professor of Preaching at Yale University Divinity School. Dr. McMickle is currently the Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at CRCDS
