Rev. Dr. Lewis J. Dixon, Pastor
our Pastor
In 2023, Rev. Dr. Lewis J. Dixon was called to be the 10th pastor Second Baptist Church of Paulsboro.
Dr. Dixon earned his Doctorate of Ministry from the prestigious Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, and his Master of Divinity from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He also received a Master of Arts from Villanova University, and a Bachelors of Science from Kean College of NJ. He is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Dr. Dixon was licensed through American Baptist Churches of New Jersey and ordained through the Bethany Baptist Association. He served as a deacon for 7 years prior to being licensed and becoming an Associate Minister at the Historic Kaighn Avenue Baptist Church in Camden, NJ. He was also an Associate Pastor at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington NJ.
Dr. Dixon, and his wife, Lady Tyra, are grateful to God, and to the congregation of Second Baptist church for this opportunity. They are eager to begin community outreach, and excited to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ here in Paulsboro. To God Be The Glory! Look What the Lord Has Done!

oRDINATION & cONSECRATION
We are excited to have the Rev. Dr. Leslie D. Callahan, pastor of St. Paul's Baptist Church in Philadelphia, PA, join us this Sunday for the Ordination of Pre-Temp Deacon Matthew Lindsay and Consecration of Deaconess Linda Stewart.
This will be a powerful and historic moment in the life of our church as we set apart these faithful servants for continued ministry and leadership. We invite our church family, friends, and community to come and share in this sacred celebration.
Come expecting a high time in the Lord as we honor their commitment, pray over their journey, and receive a word that will bless and challenge us all. We look forward to worshiping with you!
